Julianna Kirwin Studio / Gallery

Welcome to my site. My name is Julianna Kirwin and I am a printmaker and painter. My studio is part of a 100-year-old adobe building located in Bernalillo, New Mexico, just north of Albuquerque. The studio/gallery is part of Bernalillo’s historic district and is located on the “Camino Real,” the royal road used for trading during the Spanish empire.

My personal journey into the history and culture of my local area has taken me literally along the “Camino Real” down into Old Mexico. If you come by the studio, which overlooks the Sandia Mountains, you will see that my images reflect my environment and my travels: landscapes of Mexico and New Mexico, historic churches, black birds, and the people of colonial and tropical Mexico. I also offer a variety of art classes that have been inspired by the rich culture that surrounds me.
