Printed in my studio on Arnhem paper using Gamblin oil-based inks.

Reies Tijerina was active in the 60's and 70's and is especially known for staging a raid on the Tierra Amarilla Courthouse in northern New Mexico in order to get records about land rights for Hispanic New Mexicans. He was one of the first activists in New Mexico. "I am pleased to have honored him in this image. In order to create the print, I carved the wood, rolled the final carving with ink and put it through my etching press using archival paper." The image will not fade or change colors and is signed by the artist.
