2024

My Grandmother immigrated from Poland to the US at the age of 16. I remember her in her apron, which she wore everyday. In 2024, I became interested in making prints from clothing, drawing the outline of each garment onto plexiglas, inking the plexi, and then laying down a thin sheet of paper or cloth onto the inked plexiglas. The thin paper allowed me to see through it so that I could place the garment on top and roll it through the press. The wrinkles and raised areas made an impression of the garment on the paper.
